Your First Private Sauna Visit: What to Expect in Dedham
03/14/17
A private sauna means the room is yours. No strangers, no waiting for a bench. Here is how a visit to Fire and Ice Spa in Dedham works, step by step.
1. Book online
Choose your sauna type, the time and how many people are coming at book.fireicespa.com. You can also call us at 802-347-3423. We are open Monday and Wednesday–Sunday; we are closed on Tuesdays.
2. What to bring
- A swimsuit (or come as you are — it is your private room)
- A water bottle
- A change of clothes
We provide complimentary robes, towels and flip-flops, but you are welcome to bring your own. Sauna hats and veniki (brooms) are available for $25. Visits are by appointment only.
3. When you arrive
We are at 115 Eastern Ave, Dedham, MA 02026. We will show you your room, explain how everything works and leave you to relax.
4. How long to stay in the heat
Go by how you feel. Most people do short rounds of 8–15 minutes in the hot sauna, or one longer session in the infrared room, with cool-down breaks and water in between.
5. Add a massage
A massage after the sauna is a great finish. We offer all massage types in 30-minute ($60) and 60-minute ($80) sessions. See the massage page.
